• call your family to bring you a spare key if it’s possible. You can save yourself time and money if you are able to get ahold of your spare key.
• hopefully it’s not an emergency and you don’t have a baby or a young child locked in the car on a warm day. In that case waiting for someone to bring you a spare key may not be the best solution. You need to act fast. One option would be breaking your side window or call the nearest car lockout service and explain the situation and ask for an exact ETA. If they are close by they should be able to get to your location in less than 10 minutes.

If no towing company can make it in that time frame your best option is to call the police for help. If it’s not an emergency situation you may ask yourself if you can open the doors by yourself.
